Day 2

Today I am most thankful for Max. Without that little guy our lives wouldn't be very much fun. He's grown so much in such a short period of time. He used to be able to curl up in my lap and sleep. But since he is getting bigger and my belly is getting bigger we can't do that anymore. But I love his puppy breathe, his toys all over the house, the 6 am wake up calls and all his loving.

Thankful November

Day 1:

Today I am most thankful for my amazing husband! Without him I would be lost. When I have a bad day he always makes it better. Just like today! He cares for me, loves me and provides everything for me. I am so blessed to have him. Avery will even more blessed to have him as her daddy. I could go on and on and on but I will stop there. I love my husband to the moon and back!

Baby Cole!

Little did we know that we would be expecting 2 months after getting married. What shock and blessing all in one! We planned on waiting 2 years so we could travel, enjoy each other and do what ever we wanted. God had other plans for us.

This ultrasound was the moment it really sunk in that two would be three and life was going to change forever. Look at those little legs and arms! You can't look at this and not believe God is real. I can't wait to meet his baby! Since this ultrasound we have learned that it is a baby GIRL!

I never thought I would have a daughter. I always thought I would have sons. And my sweet husband wanted a boy so badly. I think he is now excited about the idea of having a girl. He is going to make the best daddy anyone could ask for.

We are currently at 25 weeks! Only 15 weeks till we get to meet her. I've only gained a net total of 3 pounds. I was so sick in the beginning that I'm finally starting to catch up.

Can't wait to meet his little girl!!!

May, June, July and August

So it's September 2nd and I haven't blogged or even look at a blog since April!! Soooo much has happened over the last several months! Where to begin?

  • We packed up all of our things and moved in May! Bittersweet!!
  • I started a new job in June! This has been such a blessing!
  • We found out in June that we were expecting our first baby!! Such a complete surprise but God's most beautiful blessing by far! Baby C will join us in Feburary.
  • In July we welcome our sweet puppy Max into the family. He is a boxer and is so much fun. He loves to play and he LOVES to cuddle!! Love the little guy!
  • August was fairly calm with no major changes.

Our life has changed so much and is continuing to change on a daily basis. We are so blessed to have such loving and supportive family and friends! So thankful our God has blessed us richly!!

Need vs Want

This was some what brought up in our Life Group discussion the other night. Things you need verses things you want. So I've started keeping mental track of all the things I want and all the things I need. We are moving into a new home and I would to have a dinning room table. But it's a want. The one we have is perfectly fine since we never eat on it anyways. I would also love to have a patio set and new BBQ grill for the hubs. But they are wants not needs. If you stop and look at the things we buy they are more want that need. People are trying to get ahead of other people. Trying to out do and our buy the people they know. I don't want to be that way. I want to be humbled by the things I have. The gifts God gives me. I want to be satisfied with the small things in life. I, for the most part, am not a spender..by nature or the way I was raised. We didn't have a lot of money growing up so we recieved what we needed and every once in a while a little something extra. I don't want my kids growing up with tons of toys. That falls in the category of giving my child what I never had. Sure I want my kids to have things and go places but not to the extend that is over taking our US population. I want my kids to be thankful for the little things in life. Not on how much mom and dad spend on me.

XOXO

I don't think I will ever finish posting about each day of the honeymoon. We have so much going on right now. I was really hoping to do it as soon as we got back because I forgot to write a lot of the stuff down while we were there. And now I have forgotten. But that's ok ... I guess.

We are moving!! Yeah...Boo...all those emotions and a million more. We are moving to Searcy so my husband can be closer to his work. But that means I have to find a new job. Which is not fun at all. But we are moving into a house!! I'm so glad to be out of the apartment. We will acutally have a yard! There is so many positives but to this move but one negative keeps nipping at my tail...we are going to miss our church so much!!!!

I'm not a raised COC by any stretch of the imagination. But when we started going to Southwest that never mattered. I felt right at home. It has been an amazing experience. I just hope that we can find a church that we love as much. But God has a plan for us. We are trying to be open minded about everything.

Honeymoon Day 1

HONEYMOON on Sunday

Let's start from the beginning. Our 6:30 flight to Charlotte was delayed because of some mechanical issue. So we ended up switching to a different plane. No big deal besides it put us just a little behind schedule. We laughed at the situation while others got upset. What else could you do?

We landed in Charlotte and did a very quick jog across the entire airport to our gate. They had just started boarding when we got there...all stinky, hot and sweaty! We boarded out plane and looked out the window and this awesome plane was gated next to us.

We flew over the most beautiful water!

I was so giddy! This was my first time out of the country and my first time over such pretty water! We got to see a lot of islands and I kept asking A if that was ours. :) I'm so lucky he didn't mind all my one billion questions. We arrived at the airport and made our way thru the customs line. Who would have thought that line would be soooo looooong?! Not me! But it was painless in the scheme of things.

We took a crazy little ride to our resort! I didn't know they drive on the wrong side of the road!!! Any who, we pulled down this beautiful drive and was greeted with lemon scented towels! Ahhhhh!

We had a quick bite to eat at Spices! We opted to eat outside and take in the beauty of the place! We had a little friend, a pigeon, eat with us. LOL

We got to our room after a small delay. They had to put this pretty stuff on the bed. But we messed it all up when we took a 3 hours nap. Yep that's what happens when you go none stop for 3 days and have only 3 hours of sleep. You nap.

After our glorious nap, we went down to the beach and sat there and listened to the waves! It was perfect. They most talked about subject was...."did that just happen? is it over with now?" We hopped into the hot tub for a while before we got ready for dinner. We ate at the Crystal room.

I had veal for the first time! It was ok...not my favorite. And A had pork chops and they were yummo.

After dinner we walked down to the fire pits and listen to the sax. It was great except the wind at night is crazy strong and really cold. But we managed. After the fire pits we walked over to the theatre and danced some slow songs with the older generation. :) Our first dance!

Honeymoon

And we are back!

First entry as Mr & Mrs Cole...if you could only see the excitement on my face and this huge smile that has permanently been placed there. :) Oh what a last few weeks it has been. I have lots of photos to share!! So this is the run down the last few weeks. I know I left off with 3 days till the wedding so I will try and go back to that point.
  • Amory's parents (my new in-laws) arrived on the 15th. They did a ton of stuff to help us get everything ready for the wedding. I am so thankful for them.
  • Family started arriving on Friday from out of town. It was great to see everyone...even the people I was meeting for the first time. We had our rehearsal and dinner on Friday night. It went excellent. Did I forget to mention that moments before I left to to the church I fell down some stairs and hurt my elbow and wrist. It was embarrassing and painful all wrapped up in a big fall. No major damage except I was missing a large portion of skin off of my elbow. But all is good now.
  • The wedding was the 17th! Oh how great of a day that was. That day harbored lots of emotion from lots of people. :) It was such an amazing day for Amory and I. We were blessed with a beautiful day to get married, lots of family and friends to support us and a magical ceremony that went perfectly. We could not have asked for it to be any better. I could go on and on but will wait till I have photos!
  • We left the wedding and went and grabbed our bags for the honeymoon, stop at the gas station and realize we don't have our passports. We go back and search and find them under some jeans that we decided to kick out of the suitcase. LOL. We get to our hotel and they tell us they don't have a room for us for some reason. So they put us in their "sister" hotel for the night. It was right on Beale St. in Memphis on St. Patricks day. SOOO LOUD! We managed to get a little bit of sleep before getting up at 3:30 am to catch our flight. We get to the airport and we have to take a different plane because ours has a mechanical issue. Our flight was fine then once we landed in Charlotte we had to run across the airport to catch our connecting flight. Woohoo what a way to start the honeymoon! But it was all good after that.
  • We landed in the Bahamas on Sunday afternoon. Took a crazy cab ride to our hotel. Basked in the great sun and weather for a week. Then, :(, came home.
  • We have spent the past week moving, cleaning, trashing, rearranging and hanging. And we both had to go back to work. BOO.
That's the quick version of our past few weeks. More photos and stories shortly to come. :-)

Soo long since our last blog!

Wow! I have fallen off my blogging wagon! There has been so much going on that I have just put it on the back burner. Let's see....We had another shower at my work! The women I work with are hoots!
My sweet Aunt Alice passed away several weeks ago. She fought so hard and for so long against the cancer. She was such a special person to me. I miss her and I know my cousin miss her terribly. I'm so thankful she is in heaven and no longer suffering.
We only have 3 days till our wedding!! THREE DAYS! Where has the time gone?? We are sooo very excited. I'm off for the next 11 days! That is exciting all by its self. :)

Harding!!!

So last night Amory and I went to Searcy to watch Harding play some Bball. We love to go watch some games. Amory was a student assistant for Harding during college and so it's in his blood. When we started dating that first year we went to sooo many games. We traveled around to watch the guys. Now it's our get away from everything hobby. We always have a great time. Last night was great but the refs were not very good and there were some ladies from the opposing team that was..lets just say not very refined. They lost by 5 but that's ok...you win some and you loose some.
So I had to take a picture of one of the assistants. I love his outfit. Just had to share it. We talked about his outfit on and off last night.

BTW.....It is only ONE MONTH till our wedding. ONE MONTH from today!! :) Yeah!!!
