Weekend blessings

This past weekend we made a trip to Hot Springs to visit with some really great friends. :)

We also had our bridal shower from my bridesmaids! It was so much fun. We laughed so hard thanks to my Aunt Carolyn. She's a hoot. Here are some photos from the shower!!

22 DAYS!!

Harding!!!

So last night Amory and I went to Searcy to watch Harding play some Bball. We love to go watch some games. Amory was a student assistant for Harding during college and so it's in his blood. When we started dating that first year we went to sooo many games. We traveled around to watch the guys. Now it's our get away from everything hobby. We always have a great time. Last night was great but the refs were not very good and there were some ladies from the opposing team that was..lets just say not very refined. They lost by 5 but that's ok...you win some and you loose some.

So I had to take a picture of one of the assistants. I love his outfit. Just had to share it. We talked about his outfit on and off last night.

BTW.....It is only ONE MONTH till our wedding. ONE MONTH from today!! :) Yeah!!!

Happy Valentines Day!

We don't really do anything big for V Day. It's too commercialized and for the most party not from the heart. So we went to eat Monday night at Olive Garden, met with Chris for our premarital counseling and picked up our marriage license. Yeah!! This was all Monday.

Tuesday we had LifeGroup!! My favorite night of the week!! We had Winston to join us. Winston is one of the sweetest most knowledgeable people I have met. He lead our discussion on baptism. It was really great. We are so blessed that he would want to come hang out with a bunch of young kids! ;) Did I mention I had a very sweet handmade card waiting on me when I got off work?! It was the sweetest thing ever! I love you A!

Habitat for Humanity Work Day!

Today part of our Life Group went and worked at one of our local Habitat houses. Let just say the weather was very cold. It was 23 degrees when we arrived. Three layers work greatly in this weather! Even tho it was absolutely freezing we has a really great time! We have worked on this particular house 3 different times as a group. It is amazing to see how far it has progressed in that amount of time. They originally stripped and gutted the whole house. So we started from basically nothing. We love helping out with Habitat. They are always so welcoming and friendly. And you know that you are doing a little peice of God's work as you go! Here are some photos from today!

The Lord is at work!!

So the Lord has been at work on my family and people I know for the past week. It is an amazing thing to see and be a part of. Thank you Lord!!

A co-worker's son was diagnosed with a tumor in his leg several months ago. He is only 10 years old. He has went thru a lot of chemo and so on. Two weeks ago the determined the tumor had shrunk enough to remove it. It's a miracle that it has shrunk so much so quickly. So Monday they took him in and removed the tumor and put in a prosthetic device to compensate for the missing bone. He has been up walking and moving around. He is doing so good. He will under go another preventive round of chemo but the outlook is so good.

This past Sunday my brother Randal and nephew Weston were baptized. This was such an amazing moment in my family. My family doesn't attend church on a regular basis or have a very deep faith. I had never really realized how much my family was missing out on until I really got involved in church and my faith started growing. I'm not saying that family members don't believe but they don't exercise or grow in their faith very often. Anyways they were both called upon by the Lord. I am so proud of them. I love them so much. I want their faith to grow and be something they rely on and trust more than anything. Hopefully this will spark a flame in my other family members.

The Lord is pouring out blessings all around me. I can see more clearly his hand in a lot of things.
