My Birthday Weekend

It's once again the time of year that I get a year older and not much wiser. Sunday is the day! Tonight, Friday, we are hitting up the White County Fair for dinner. That sounds bad! :-/ But one night when the fair is in town we have dinner there eating the most terribly bad for you items. But it's fun! It's something we do. We are going to meet up with our sweet friends and should be a good time. 

  This time last year we were in Memphis eating at the Butcher Shop. We had just found out that we were having a princess!!

First time sickness stinks!

It's started Wednesday night. The vomiting ended the next day. The diarrhea is still on going. Never ever have I been so scared than the first time seeing your baby vomit. Terrifying! And it kept coming and she kept dry heaving. Awful. I now understand all the times I heard mothers say they would do anything to take the sickness away from their babies. 

Lots of cuddles and snuggles have been dished out the past few days. It's Friday and she seems back to normal minus the diarrhea. We went for a walk and came in the house and I realized she has pooped out her diaper....on my arm. Smelled horrific. It was every where. She immediately went in the bath. Whew! 🙊

Tomorrow will be a busy day. I hope she feels up to it. If not we will find a quiet place and snuggle. I miss snuggling her all the time like I did when she was brand new. Sunday she will be 7 months old! Oh my where has the time gone?

I'm ever so thankful God took care of her and us during this stomach bug. He is mighty, strong and our rock! 

!SEVEN!

We have a 7 month old! Oh me oh my! Closer to a year than newborn. How is this possible?! I say that every month but it still amazes me how fast time flies.

Dear Little Bird,

    You are so loved! You are changing every single day! You now weigh 13lbs. You have gotten so long. Maybe I will have daddy try and measure you but I doubt you will stay still long enough. We have moved you into size 2 diapers now. You can wear some 6 month clothing but not much. 3 month fits you best. Your so petite besides your belly when you eat. It pokes out there so far. You like to splash in the sink when you take baths now. You love to giggle when Max comes up to you or even looks at you. You laugh when you toot. It's too cute! Thank you for all the hugs and kisses you give us. It is the greatest feeling in the world.

Half A Year Old

Little Bird.....Little Bird.....

My oh my what a ride its been for the past half of a year. We've had our ups and downs. Highs and lows. You've challenged us, loved us, laughed at us and made us the most blessed parents in the world. As I type this you haven't napped longer than 20 mins today and are fighting your daddy to stay awake a little longer. And he's sweetly rocking you and giving you little kisses. Oh my how much he loves you. It sometimes makes my heart hurt to see you two together. Pure and simple LOVE.

• 0-3 & some 3 month clothing

• you are starting to sleep thru the night again

• you love baby food and always cry when it's gone 

• you've tried green beans, carrots, peas, sweet potatoes, bananas, pears, peaches, bread, ice cream and whipped cream. The only one you don't like is peas

• you suddenly hate getting dressed after bath time. 

• you can say dada and momma

• you smile when we tell you know

• 12.13 pounds (1%)

• 25 inches long 

• you can sit up by yourself now 

• you can ride in a shopping cart

• you took your first sink bath 

• And you watched our first football games! 

Hot Springs!!

Me and my sweet friend Jessica had a girls weekend this past weekend. It was so relaxing and fantastic!! We stayed at the historic Arlington hotel. 

It was a great stay (minus the elevator problem)! We arrived on Friday night and had a late dinner at Angels. And on Saturday morning we indulged in a hot stone massage and pedicures! Holy moly that massage was amazing!! 

Afterwards we went to this little Mexican restaurant called Rolando's. It was the best Mexican food I have ever had!

We walked and walked and walked. Did a lot of window shopping and walking. We ate at The Bleu Monkey for dinner. Got back to the hotel and took a dip in the hot tub and slept a very long,solid night. On Sunday morning we packed up, ate at IHOP and headed home. 

It was the first night(s) away from my sweet girl. I missed her extremely but was thankful for the alone time. :)

5 months old!

5 months old today!! You are trying your best to sit up and tool back to front. You are chewing on everything in site. You ate rice cereal (with apple juice) for the first time 6/26/13. You love to kick Max when he's laying beside you, pull his jaws and let him give you kisses. You aren't sleeping very good at night anymore. You take very short naps during the day now. Mommy misses her sleep. :) Daddy is still the one who makes you laugh the most. 

4 month check up!

This little cutie had her 4 month check up on Thursday! What a tiny little girl we have. 

Weight: 11 pounds 12 ounces

(I know newborns who are this size already!!) She is in the 2nd percentile. 

Length: 23.75 inches long

18th percentile

Head size: 15.75 inches

30th percentile. 

Clothes: 0-3 months in most everything. There are a few 3 month outfits you can wear. You have long legs and a tiny little waist which makes finding pants for you difficult. 

Diaper: You are still in a size 1. But I think you will be moving up in the next month. 

Food: You drink a 4oz bottle of formula every 3 1/2-4 hours. We've tried to give you rice cereal but you hated the spoon. So in an effort to get you to sleep longer at night we've been sneaking it into your bottle! :)

Sleep: You are now sleeping in your crib on your little belly at night. You wake a few times a night. You once slept all the way thru the night. I miss those nights! You nap 2 hours after you eat for about an hour each time. 

Teeth: No teeth yet but you are chewing on everything and drooling like a monster. I'm sure it won't be long. 

You love to smile! You love love love your daddy. Whenever you see him you light up like a Christmas tree. Heart melting!! You babble a lot. You are grabbing more thing with your little hands and kick up a storm with those chubby legs. You love to stand. You hate to be put down. You hate when I am in the room and not holding you (I kinda like that). You are growing and changing faster than we imagined you would. We are so blessed by you my little bird!

This blue eyed baby girl is now 4 months old! 

Where oh where has the time gone?

We have our 4 month check up next week. I'm curious to see how much she weighs. I think we are ready to start baby food or cereal. I also think we are getting close to moving up in diapers. This makes me so so sad. My little bird is growing up!!
