Book obsession 2012!!

I decided at the beginning of the year I would read one book a month. I love to read. I get that from my dad. I get so into a book I will stay up late and do nothing just so I can finish it. I hate when I finish a book that I am so into. It's like what do you do now?

So far I have read two books! And I still have half a week in this month. I would say I am doing pretty darn good!

I just finished The Next Always. It is book one of three. I normally don't read Nora Roberts or any lovey dovey books but my boss handed it off to me because she said she couldn't get into it. At first I was like hmmm I don't know if this will be good....then I got hooked. I started the book Monday and I finished it on my lunch today, Thursday. I guess it was pretty good after all. I am ready for the second book to be released.

Fat Tuesday was the first book I read this year. Loved it! Thanks dad for letting me borrow it. I love all murder mystery and suspense books. They get me hook line and sinker. This isn't a new book but one I found on a shelf at my parent's home. This book was sooo good!! Can't deny the chemistry for the two main characters!

Reading over the years has been my escape from every day life or when I am just plain bored. I have spurts or reading like a mad woman or not hardly touching a book for several months. Love it!!

The Chair

I recently purchased a chair! It was a wedding present from my dad and step mom. It has been named the reading chair! I plan on blogging, reading and drinking lots of hot tea and coffee from this chair.

It has arrived!

Amory putting the legs on our chair.

There is our beautiful chair!

So proud of our chair! So far my favorite wedding gift.

So here is a little clip of how Amory and I made it to where we are today!

 July 2010
This was our second date! He took me to St. Louis to watch the Cardinals! This was 2 days after our first date..5 hours there and 5 hours back...not one quiet moment in the car! I knew then that this was a very good thing!

August 2010
This was our first picture! This was also the first time I met his sister, brother and their families. Bless his heart he doesn't like his picture taken and well I love to take photos! Little did he know he would be stuck with me for the rest of our lives.

September 2010
This was taken at my sweet friend Brittani's wedding. Our first wedding together as a couple.

October 2010
He took me home to meet his momma! This was also my first time on an airplane! We flew to Florida, went to Sea World, went to the Atlantic Ocean, seen where he grew up and spent some time with his mom and dad. Such an amazing trip.

December 2010
Our first Christmas! We spent the days before Christmas with my family. Then we flew to Florida to spend Christmas with his family. It was such an awesome time to be there.

We love sunsets. Most of our first year of dating we spent chasing sunsets and sunrises. It is still one of our favorite things to do.

We spent a lot of the summer doing this. Well him golfing and me riding around with him taking photos. This was in Branson, MO.

Let's fast forward to my birthday, September 2011. We go to see Alison Krauss and Union Station. They were so good. She has a voice like and angel!!

Then the next day we go to the zoo to see these beautiful animals. I love giraffe's, LOVE them. I was so excited because this was the new baby, Wendie.

Then he surprised me with the zoo keeper who told us that we could go into their 'house' and feed them. So this was my first encounter with my favorite animal. I was actually feeding these huge magnificent creatures.

I turn around once my bucket of bananas had been depleted. And I found him down on one knee. Yes he was asking me to spend the rest of my life with him. I cried. He cried. It was the most exciting moment to date.

This was my birthday dinner with my family the day after he proposed.
I love him with all of my heart!

Now we are only 56 days away from our wedding. We can't wait to spend the rest of our lives chasing sunsets, cooking lot of food, traveling all over, being with our families, starting a family of own and glorifying God in the process!

So I have thought and thought about starting a blog for several years now. And I finally decided that I would give it a try and see what I thought. I wanted this blog to document all the amazing things happening in our (Amory & I) lives. God has been so good to us. We would love to show our future children our life as we know it now. So here goes nothing! :)
